Pictures anyone?

Well I have had a wonderful/weekend!

Last week I had my bridal portraits taken by the incredibly talented Hillary Anne and I had a blast. With the help of my mom, we carried my wedding dress all over downtown Fort Worth. My arms were definitely sore. I loved getting my hair done, having mom do my make up and all those fun things, but nothing quite matched the reaction of all the people we met downtown! People were so friendly, coming over to talk to us and complimenting my dress. It was so fun to interact with so many people! Once a bus pulled over and opened their doors to talk to me! I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out.

This weekend Cal and I took some engagement photos! They were done by one of my favorite people Lindsey Marette - if you want to see them just go here. Let us know which one is your favorite!

I also took the advice of my sister, Lindsey, and made a fall wreath. She inspired me. Cal has promised to post the picture of the wreath on our apartment door very soon. (Slash after he gets back from training this week)

I hope y'all are having a great week! This was my study break, so I'm back to studying!

Sickly September

So I have been chugging along at life, doing a little wedding here and a little homework there, etc, and low and behold I have suddenly gotten sick. It's not a terrible death sick, but I do not feel good. I went to morning class just fine, even wore cuter clothes than normal, and then I get out of chapel, talk with a friend, and getting in the car I start to feel hot. It is a downhill trek from there. Argh.

In bigger news, this last weekend Cal and I celebrated our first Double Digit weekend! We are officially less than 100 days to the wedding. My favorite part of our celebration? Puddle Jumping! No, I do not mean international travel, but I do mean the donning of galoshes and rain gear to go and tell those puddles what for! It was a blast.
We also have had our first wedding shower in Pascagoula, Mississippi! It was lovely (I hate four petite fours so I had a great time) and Cal ate it trying his cousin, Amy's, ripstick. This is him about to fall, but still having a good time. He's braver than me though! I wouldn't even try it, I was more interested in saving my bum.
We got many beautiful gifts including some hand made stockings by lovely Aunt Sue. They were beautiful and white, not to mention...Christmas!!! I love Christmas. We also got canisters and a skillet, some utensils, and some fun things like a griddle. I told Cal he would be in pancake heaven because of this griddle. Mmmmm pancakes.
The last significant event that I have to report is that Cal and I have picked out our wedding rings. This is such a big deal because we cannot agree on anything. (style wise) We were very excited. We found it right before we went to counseling, so we had to order it by phone, but that's all good.
Adios for now!
