Camp Tallowood

Well Cal and I survived Camp Tallowood! I guess you could say that we didn't just survive, because we
We met some amazing students and even had some of our own fun! We got placed in the village of Caesarea Philippi where Peter confessed Jesus as the Christ. What an incredible history. We learned all about Christ the whole week, who He was/is, who He met, where He went, what He said, what He's doing now, and so much more. Pastor Scot Pollack was a great helper to bring the message of Christ to everyone and it was incredible. We learned all about the Passover meal, seeing the image of Christ all throughout it even though He had not yet come when it was created. Even the rec time games assisted to give the students a great idea about the life of Christ, His parables, and His miracles. Some of the fun extras include Acquire the Tire (we throw a lot of tubing tires in the middle, gradually pouring more and more nasty stuff on them while the youth take turns running out by grade/gender and trying to bring them back to their team for points- it's a very muddy and sticky event), Village Voice (the villages create a skit/song to represent what Jesus did in their area and compete for the best one), Saints and Sinners (softball game between the sponsors/saints and the seniors/sinners - sponsors won! and I got 2 RBI's), and the Village Run (the villages compete in a large scale relay race and every one competes).
Here are some pictures to give you an idea of some of the fun!
